02 : Bandidos Office

I ordered some Artizan bandidos sculpted by Mike Owen. Mike is a prolific Old West figure-sculptor. He sculpted most of the Foundry range as well as sculpting his own Artizan miniatures. He also produced his own take on a Weird Wild West with his Grim Prairie Tales Confederate and Union troops as well as sculpting the Dracula’s America range alongside Mark Copplestone.

With my bandidos all set to run riot, I got to work designing a second building for my Mexican village. My selected Contrabando building is shown standing on a slight rise. It was used by movie makers as a cantina, a saloon, and the office of a mining company. It seemed like it would also be a useful building for gaming!

The double-doors are a nice detail that luckily appear in some photos – and are conspicuously absent in others!

The building used in The Journeyman as an office of a mining company.

In The Journeyman, a 2001 Western, there’s a piece of furniture outside the building that looks like an over-sized stool. It may be a table – and a good size for a game of cards! I decided to design a similar but slightly smaller piece of furniture, sized more as a stool.
