19 : Citadel House Painted
I painted the latest citadel house.
I took the opportunity, once more – unlike with the more drab Lower City houses – to paint this up-market house with a bit of colour. Although, at the same time, I chose to feature the colour scheme with a simple earth colour – that is, a colour whose pigment could be obtained from readily available minerals and clays.
The idea with this dwelling, again, is that the main living quarters are upstairs. I designed the downstairs windows to reflect a more utilitarian use.
It’s more obvious now that the pavement needs finishing.
