2 : The Musketeers’ Garrison
I began the Musketeers’ Garrison with the courtyard entrance.
It may not be what every gamer thinks practical at first but I, personally, am a big fan of 200mm and 100mm-square terrain tiles – and for all my tabletops! For this design, I’m once again using a 100mm-square grid.
The basic building-frontage module is based on the Doksany Convent buildings that were used in the TV set Musketeers’ Garrison.
The model stands on a 100mm-square terrain tile. The archway ground floor is like the cloister of the convent but is completely open. This allows for wall pieces to be added on. It’s designed to be adaptable but the sides will always match and the tiles will stay modular.
A basic building-frontage module is going to be the main archway entrance to the Garrison courtyard.
The main entrance to the TV set’s Garrison courtyard was an archway entrance in the cloister of Doksany Convent. This is where both Musketeers and Cardinal’s Red Guard were often filmed strutting in – chin up, chest out. Not from a Parisian street. There’s just a bit of an open field outside!
