190 : The Outskirts of Essling

After giving the terrain base a covering of dark brown grout, it was painted and then finished off with an assortment of scenic grasses and tufts.

As well as the roadway and the buildings on either side of it, I wanted to include the appearance of gardens at the rear of the cottages. No walls as this was a light cover terrain base. A few hedgerows would be enough to give the impression of some allotment areas.

I added a rustic wooden fence along the roadway. The model was a railway modelling N-scale metal casting produced by Fleetline.
